Joining the fight against misunderstood non-communicable diseases.
On June 19, 2025, DementiaAware Kenya joined the World Sickle Cell Day commemoration in Kilifi. The event brought together communities, caregivers, and health advocates to shine a light on sickle cell disease and celebrate the strength of those affected.
Our presence reflected our commitment to holistic community health and solidarity with families facing chronic and often misunderstood conditions. We continue to advocate for awareness, dignity, and supportive care—not just for those with dementia, but for all whose conditions are hidden behind silence or stigma.
